Granola Recipe Ingredients:
- 8 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 2 cups chopped nuts (cashews, almonds, pecans, etc.)
- 2 cups sunflower seeds, untoasted
- 2 cups chopped dried fruit (raisins, cherries, dates, etc.)
- 1 cup sesame seeds
- 1 cup coconut, shredded
- 3/4 cup maple syrup
- 3/4 cup sunflower oil (or other light oil)
- 1/2 tsp salt
Granola Recipe Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Toss oats, nuts, coconut, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, and salt in large mixing bowl
- In a saucepan warm oil and syrup.
- Pour over dry ingredients and mix together well by hand or wooden spoon
- Spread evenly, 1/2 inch thick on baking sheets
- Roast for 35 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden brown
- Allow to cool
- Stir in dried fruit
