Granola Recipe Ingredients:

  • 8 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 cups chopped nuts (cashews, almonds, pecans, etc.)
  • 2 cups sunflower seeds, untoasted
  • 2 cups chopped dried fruit (raisins, cherries, dates, etc.)
  • 1 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 cup coconut, shredded
  • 3/4 cup maple syrup
  • 3/4 cup sunflower oil (or other light oil)
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Granola Recipe Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Toss oats, nuts, coconut, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, and salt in large mixing bowl
  3. In a saucepan warm oil and syrup.
  4. Pour over dry ingredients and mix together well by hand or wooden spoon
  5. Spread evenly, 1/2 inch thick on baking sheets
  6. Roast for 35 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden brown
  7. Allow to cool
  8. Stir in dried fruit
